| I am sure the idea of the so called 'award for teacher of the year' is more than anything else an appreciation to all teachers nominated for their contributions to education and learning...regardless of who has won it..There is nothing wrong about that..Its great.. thanks to iradix we can publicly express our gratitude to our teachers even when we cannot meet them personally..long after our post grad courses are over..Dr. Amarnath is an excellent teacher..and he fully deserves it..I am lucky to have been associated with him albeit for a short time just before exams for a refresher course..I agree with Dr.Prakash Vohra a lot of great teachers were not even nominated..but as long as awards are going to deserving people and there is no politics involved i see nothing wrong with it... |
